Where the Dart Is Taking Me in Late 2026

People keep asking me the same question this year: where has the dart sent you now? So here's an honest update from the road, because the second half of 2026 has been one of the most rewarding stretches of filming I've ever done — and it all lands on screen as Season 8 this September.

Ethiopia: standing where the human story began

The dart took me to Ethiopia, and I don't think I've ever felt the weight of a place quite like it. This is widely considered the cradle of humankind — the ground where some of the oldest human ancestors ever found were unearthed. Walking through it, you feel like you're standing at the very start of our story.

But Ethiopia isn't a museum. In the Omo Valley I spent time with communities whose traditions have survived, almost untouched, at the edge of a rapidly changing world. I split the country into two episodes — one about that ancient cradle, one about the tribes — because a single film could never hold it all.

Mauritius: one island, three completely different trips

I expected a postcard. What I found was three islands hiding inside one.

There's the raw, local Mauritius — the one you only meet through the people who actually live there, far from any resort. There's the Mauritius for every kind of traveler — reef, mountains, street food, markets, the sweet spot most visitors never quite reach. And then there's the luxury Mauritius, paradise turned all the way up.

I gave each its own episode, because reducing this place to "a beach holiday" would have been a lie. The dart doesn't do lazy.

The Faroe Islands: Europe's best-kept secret

And then the Faroes. Honestly? One of the most spectacular places I have ever pointed a camera at. Eighteen tiny islands in the North Atlantic, wrapped in fog and green cliffs, with waterfalls that fall straight into the sea and villages that look painted on. Hardly anyone talks about them — which is exactly why I couldn't stay away.

It's the kind of destination that reminds me why I started throwing darts at a map in the first place: the best adventures are almost never the obvious ones.

What's next

Season 8 drops in September 2026, and I genuinely can't wait for you to see it. If you want to be first in line, join the Dart Squad and I'll let you know the moment the first episode goes live. Until then — you already know the rule.

Wherever the dart lands, I go.
