The Mission
The Mission: Inspiration
People often ask me what the dart really represents.
They think it’s about travel. About adventure. About seeing exotic places. But the truth is, the dart has never been about geography.
It’s about life.
Every time I put on the blindfold and throw that dart at the world map, I willingly surrender control. I don’t know where it will land. I don’t know what language I’ll hear, what obstacles I’ll face, or whether the destination will become one of the greatest experiences of my life — or one of the hardest.
And that’s precisely the point.
Life rarely asks us where we’d like to go next. It throws challenges at us without warning. A business fails. A relationship ends. A door closes. A diagnosis arrives. Plans change overnight. We don’t get to choose the cards we’re dealt.
We only get to choose how we play them.
Most people spend their lives wishing the dart had landed somewhere else. They replay the throw, blame their luck, or wait for a better opportunity.
I don’t.
Wherever the dart lands, I go.
Not because every destination is perfect, but because every destination has something to teach me. Sometimes it’s breathtaking beauty. Sometimes it’s frustration. Sometimes it’s fear. Sometimes it’s resilience. Every journey changes me, because I refuse to believe that an unexpected path is automatically the wrong one.
People often compare life to a game of poker. You’re dealt a hand you didn’t choose, and your success depends on what you do next.
There’s one difference between poker and my philosophy.
In poker, you can fold.
I never do.
The dart has taught me that courage isn’t the absence of uncertainty. Courage is taking the trip anyway. It’s stepping into the unknown when there are no guarantees. It’s trusting that even the places you never wanted to visit may hold the lessons you needed most.
The dart isn’t a symbol of chance.
It’s a commitment.
A promise that no matter where life sends me, I will show up. I will adapt. I will learn. I will keep moving forward.
Because the destination was never the real challenge.
Accepting it was.
